1st place Timisoara – On 31.03.2023 the 37th edition of the CloufFlight Coding Contest took place in Timisoara.

ONIS 2023
Following the national programming competition: National Computer Science Olympiad for Students edition 2023 (ONIS 2023), organized by UVT-FMI on 13 May 2023 where 42 teams from 7 universities in the country (UBB, UPB, UCV, UVT, UPT, UAIC, UBB) participated,
UVT-FMI had 5 teams in the competition and the UVT_Blackhats team (Mihail Crivoi, Stanislav Brega, Andrei Popescu), coached by Mafteiu-Scai Liviu and Marin Mircea, won the 3rd Prize.

"Traian Lalescu" National Mathematics Contest 2023
On 4-6 May 2023, the national student mathematics competition “Traian Lalescu” took place in Iasi.
Marian Vasile from FMI took first place.
International SEEMOUS competition 2023
On 7 March-12 March 2023, the international SEEMOUS (South-Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students) competition was held in Struga, North Macedonia.
Marian Vasile from FMI won the gold medal.

International SEEMOUS competition 2022
On 27 May – 1 June 2022, the international SEEMOUS (South-Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students) competition was held in Belgrade, Serbia.
Marian Vasile from FMI won the bronze medal.
"Traian Lalescu" National Mathematics Contest 2022
On 12-14 May 2022, the national student mathematics competition “Traian Lalescu” was held in Timișoara.
Marian Vasile from FMI took first place.
National Session of Student Scientific Communications 2022
FMI had 4 students who participated in Friday’s commencement session in Craiova .
Three of them won first, third and mention prizes.
Year 2021
ACM-ICPC-SEERC 2021
Three of the six teams that participated in the national phase of the ACM-ICPC-SEERC (The SouthEastern European Regional Contest of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest), which took place on May 9, 2021, qualified for the regional phase of the contest that will take place on May 22-23, 2021.
The qualified teams, in descending order of scores, are:
- UVT_TheJawas (Roxana Teodora Mafteiu-Scai, Richard Baczur, Mihaela-Carina Czupper)
- UVT_Bitmask (Bogdan Budihală, Cătălin Vanciu, Andrei Popescu)
- UVT_LilProg (Darius-George Oanea, Razvan-Silviu Muthi, Stefan Szabo)
